Advertiser Staff

WAILUKU, Maui — Maui police are asking for the public's help in locating Antonio Castro, who was reported missing last week when he didn't return home from an ocean swim in Kihei.

Castro, 75, of Los Angeles, was last seen leaving his daughter's residence in Wailea at approximately 5 p.m. March 14 to go swimming at Keawakapu Beach. His clothes were later found at the beach, but days of searching by the Maui Fire Department, the Coast Guard and others failed to locate the man.

Castro is described as Hispanic, standing 5 feet, 9 inches tall and weighing 175 pounds. He is balding with gray hair and brown eyes, and was wearing black swim shorts.

Police ask anyone with information to call the Maui Police Department at (808) 244-6400.
