UNLV releases football schedule; Hawai'i still on it

LAS VEGAS UNLV football will host crowd-pleasers Wisconsin, Brigham Young and Hawai'i during its 2007 season.The 2007 schedule released today shows the Rebels will open the season at Utah State on Aug. 30, the team's only game of the season not held on Saturday.
The home schedule begins Sept. 8 with a matchup against the University of Wisconsin. Hawai'i will come to the Rebels' Sam Boyd Stadium for the first time since 2003 for a Sept. 15 meeting and Utah visits Sept. 22.
UNLV will meet rival Nevada in Reno on Sept. 29 and then travel to Colorado Springs to play Air Force on Oct. 6 returning home to meet Pioneer PureVision Las Vegas Bowl champion BYU on Oct. 13.
Past contests with Wisconsin, BYU and Hawaii are among UNLV's top 10 best-attended home games.
Colorado State is scheduled to come to Sam Boyd on Oct. 20, before UNLV heads to Laramie to play Wyoming on Oct. 27.
The home schedule ends Nov. 10 with a visit from San Diego State. UNLV then travels to play Texas Christian University on Nov. 17, and ends its regular-season at New Mexico on Nov. 24.
