Insurance company employees donate goods to homeless

Advertiser Staff

AIG Hawaii employees will turn over 10 boxes of clothing, blankets and toiletries to the Hawaii Public Housing Authority at 10:31 a.m. today as part of the "Spring It Forward" collection drive.

The items gathered by AIG will be given to the Institute for Human Services and the new Waianae Civic Center to distribute to clients of the two facilities.

IHS serves about 500 clients while the Waianae Civic Center shelter hopes to move about 300 homeless people off the beach.
