Spring starts with trade winds, light showers in Islands

Advertiser Staff

Forecasters at the National Weather Service expect the pleasant trade wind weather we've been experiencing over the past several days to continue on into the weekend.

The trades will likely bring with them a typical pattern of passing light showers primarily over windward and mountain areas.

The trades will likely drop down a little in intensity, to about 15 mph, for the next few days and then increase again over the weekend.

Here's how things look for the next few days:

Today: sunny. Isolated showers in the morning. Highs 77 to 83. East winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Tonight: partly cloudy with isolated showers. Lows 63 to 71. Northeast winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Thursday: sunny. Highs 77 to 83. East winds 10 to 20 mph.

Thursday night: partly cloudy with isolated showers. Lows 63 to 71. Northeast winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Friday: mostly sunny. Highs 76 to 83. East winds 10 to 15 mph.

Friday night: partly cloudy with isolated showers. Lows 63 to 71. Northeast winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.
