Morning showers should give way to afternoon sun

Passing showers this morning will give way to mostly sunny skies this afternoon, according to the nnational Weather Service.

Trade winds will decrease tonight and Friday to the 10-15 mph range, but will increase to the moderate to fresh range by the weekend as a new high-pressure area passes by to the north of the islands, forecasters said.

The mainder of this week will se passing trade showers affecting primarily windward and mountain areas.

Here's what to expect durng the next few days:

Today, mostly sunny. Isolated showers in the morning. Highs 77 to 83. East winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Tonight, partly cloudy with isolated showers. Lows 63 to 71. Northeast winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Friday, sunny. Isolated showers in the afternoon. Highs 76 to 83. East winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Friday night, partly cloudy with isolated showers. Lows 63 to 71. Northeast winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Saturday, sunny. Highs 76 to 82. East winds 10 to 20 mph.

Saturday night, partly cloudy with isolated showers. Lows 64 to 72. Northeast winds 10 to 20 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.
