Kamehameha children's chorus heads to New Zealand

Advertiser Staff

The Kamehameha Schools' Kapalama Children's Chorus leaves Honolulu tomorrow to share its gift of song and aloha in New Zealand.

About 85 students, in grades 4 to 6, will be on the singing tour, performing Hawaiian, Broadway and other tunes. One performance will be at the famous Waitomo Caves.

The chorus — best known for the keiki voices heard in the 2001 recording of two tunes for Disney's animated film set in Hawai'i, "Lilo & Stitch" — also toured in Japan and provided background voices for a Celine Dion concert in Honolulu.
