30 on O'ahu seeking U.S. citizenship to get legal help
News Release
Thirty Honolulu-area citizens seeking U.S. citizenship were selected on March 9th to receive assistance with the naturalization process this Saturday (March 24th) at the first 2007 Citizenship Fair, sponsored by U.S. Rep. Neil Abercrombie. A group of volunteer attorneys and law students will provide free assistance in completing the 10-page N 400 Application for Naturalization and compiling an application packet for submission to the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service of the Department of Homeland Security.
The Citizenship Fair is held in partnership with the Na Loio Immigrant Rights and Public Interest Legal Center, Volunteer Legal Services of Hawaii, the University of Hawaii, William S. Richardson School of Law's Immigration Law Clinic and the American Immigration Lawyers Association, Hawaii Chapter.
Citizenship Fairs are held twice a year. The next Fair will be in the Fall.
