Advertiser Staff

St. Andrew's Priory will honor Colleen Hanabusa and retired Bishop Richard S. O. Chang at the Queen Emma Ball on May 2 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel Waikiki.

State senate president Hanabusa is a 1969 graduate of St. Andrew's Priory.

Chang is the fourth elected bishop of the Episcopal Church of Hawai'i who retired March 10. He graduated from Iolani School and attended Trinity College and the Divinity School of the Pacific, Berkeley, Calif.

Chang joined the Diocese of Hawaii in 1966 and served parishes on Oahu and Kauai as rector. In 1986, Chang moved to New York City to be the assistant to Presiding Bishop Edmond Browning, then returned to serve as bishop for a decade.
