Advertiser Staff

"42nd Street," a tap-dancing spectacle set against a backstage Broadway musical and an aspiring chorus girl named Peggy Sawyer, will premiere at 7:30 p.m. April 5 at the Ronald Bright Theatre at Castle High School.

The Castle Performing Arts Center production repeats at 7:30 p.m. April 13, 14, 20 and 21 and 2 p.m. April 6, 7, 15 and 22.

The Tony Award-winning show, directed by Karen Meyer, features 42 students aged 9 to 10, from nine O'ahu schools, and boasts a score that includes "We're in the Money," "Lullaby of Broadway," and "Forty-Second Street."

Tickets are $15 ($10 for students, seniors and military; Good Friday matinee half price).

A silent auction fund-raiser, "Those Dancin' Feet," will be held April 13 through 22, with new and slightly used shoes from Jodi Leong, Sweetie Pacarro and other local celebs, available for bidding. Donations may be made by calling Meyer at 233-5626.
