MERCYME IN APRIL 28 CONCERT

Dove Awards multi winner MercyMe comes to Honolulu for a concert at 6 p.m. April 28 at the Waikiki Shell. Among its wins: song of the year in 2002 for "I Can Only Imagine"; 2004 song of the year for "Word of God Speak"; artist of the year and group of the year in 2004.

The Christian rock band's latest album is last year's "Coming Up to Breathe," which prompted two more Dove Award nominations — group of the year and pop/contemporary album of the year. The awards will be presented April 25 at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville.

The band Audio Adrenaline will open the concert; comedian Bob Smiley is a special guest.

REEL BIG FISH APRIL 5

Veteran ska/punk band Reel Big Fish returns to Honolulu for a gig at Pipeline Cafe April 5. Doors open at 6 p.m., show begins at 7 p.m.

The band's latest release is August's "Our Live Album is Better Than Your Live Album."
