Surf could hit 10 feet along north-facing shores today

Zurf along north-facing shores will build to heights of 7 to 10 feet today, according to the National Weather Service.

Surf along west-facing shores is also on the rise and should reach heights of 5 to 7 feet, forecasters said.

Elsewhere, surf along east-facing shores will be 3 to 5 feet through today while surf along south-facing shores will remain at 1 to 3 feet.

Surf along east-facing shores will rise to near the advisory level of 8 fet on Sunday as trade winds increase over the area.
