Saturday's High School basketball: Farrington wins

Angie Gasio scored 13 points and Elaine Leaupepe added 12 as Farrington toppled previously unbeaten Kahuku, 62-48, Saturday night in an O'ahu Interscholastic Association Red Division girls basketball game at the Governors' gym.

Natalie Mon (2-2) ata added 11 points for Farrington (2-2), which surged to a 35-17 halftime lead to thwart the Red Raiders (3-1).

KALANI 50, MOANALUA 33

Megan Kamehiro and Kortnee Gaddis each scored 13 points to lead the Falcons.

PEARL CITY 37, KAPOLEI 29

Jazmine Pahukoa-Malia scored 13 points and the Chargers stormed to a 22-9 halftime lead then held off the Hurricanes.

KAILUA 62, 'ANUENUE 19

Ashley Jacobs scored nine points as all 13 Surfriders scored.

WAIANAE 46, CASTLE 44

Danielle Lovell scored 15 points and Ema Atiga hit two free throws with 6.6 seconds left to lift the Seariders.

WAIALUA 81, KAISER 74 (2OT)

Kimberly Meyerowitz scored 22 points and Chelsey Ramirez 18 as the visiting Bulldogs held off the short-handed Cougars in double overtime Friday night.

Kristyn Mathenson scored 25 points and Jessica Dusich 18 for Kaiser, which started the game with just six players, played the first overtime with four and the second overtime with two — Dusich and Chelsea Okuma, who finished with 14 points.
