Police said a 29-year-old man was fatally shot at a residence on Maiu'u Road.

Police said that one or two cars pulled up at the house about 6:30 a.m. and several men broke down the door. Shots were fired, and when police arrived a short time later, a man who had been shot was on the ground in front of the house.

The man died at Wai'anae Coast Comprehensive Health Center.

A suspect was arrested and taken into custody at 10:30 a.m.
