Sister taking final vows

There will be a public reception to celebrate Sister Celeste Cabral's profession of her final vows at 1:30 p.m. tomorrow at St. Michael's Parish Hall, 67-390 Goodale Ave. in Waialua.

Cabral (right), who grew up in Kailua and was a former basketball player for the University of Hawai'i and a former Continental Airlines flight attendant, has been studying for five years to become a Benedictine nun.

PREACHER, AUTHOR AT CENTRAL UNION

Tony Campolo will be the preacher at the 9 a.m. worship service tomorrow at Central Union Church.

Campolo, an internationally known preacher and author, also will speak at a 10:20 a.m. seminar in the Women's Building on "Spiritual Revolution."

CONTEMPORARY SERVICES SET

The new Match Strike Ministry, part of the English ministry of Aiea Korean United Methodist Church, has set a schedule for worship services.

FILM TELLS CRASH VICTIM'S STORY

A free screening of "Conversations With God" will be held 7 p.m. Friday at Unity Church of Hawaii, 3608 Diamond Head Circle.

The movie tells the true story of Neale Donald Walsch, who suffered a broken neck in a car accident.

Pacific Island Praise begins free performances of "The Witness: Upon This Rock" at 7 p.m. March 29.
