Hallyu fans, get ready for another season of Korean cinema, brought to you by the Hawaii International Film Festival 2007.

Just around the corner is the 10th HIFF Spring Showcase, April 20-26, and it includes three South Korean films. For the past few years, Korean selections have been among the first films to sell out. Tickets will go on sale April 6 for HIFF members and April 12 for the general public.

Here's what's in the K-lineup.

'200 POUNDS BEAUTY' ('MINYEO-NEUN GOEROWO')

6 AND 8:45 P.M. APRIL 20

In this 2006 romantic comedy, Hanna is sweet by nature. She finds it hard to say no to people and goes out of her way to do things that others would ignore, which often leaves her hurt. Nonetheless, she is optimistic and never loses hope for life. Meanwhile, she has a huge crush on a music producer named Sang-jun. One day, Hanna gets herself in a situation where she could not be more humiliated before Sang-jun and decides to kill herself. However, as fate has it, her suicide attempt fails and leads her to Dr. Lee, a renowned plastic surgeon, who turns her into a dazzling beauty.

'RADIO STAR'

9:15 P.M. APRIL 21, 3:15 P.M. APRIL 23

Once a superstar with a top music award under his belt, rocker Choi Gon now sings at a run-down cafe. But an incident with one of the guests at the cafe puts him behind bars. His manager for more than 20 years, Min-soo, makes a deal with a radio station director to bail out Gon. In exchange, Gon agrees to deejay at a remote country radio station. Reluctant to work at first, Gon soon finds out that the little things matter the most.

'TAZZA: THE HIGH ROLLERS'

3:15 P.M. AND 6:30 P.M. APRIL 26

Goni lives an ordinary life, spending his days working at a furniture factory. One day, everything changes. His life takes a new turn through a series of unexpected coincidences. A friendly game of cards turns into a life-altering experience. He enters into the world of underground gambling to win his money back. Goni becomes a slave to the table. Not even his teacher who taught him about the perils of life, the woman who loves him, or his only friend can stop him in the downward spiral toward his one last game.
