KEY HOUSE VOTES

1. EMERGENCY SUPPLEMENTAL SPENDING BILL

The House passed, 218-212, on Friday an emergency supplemental spending bill that calls for the end of combat operations in Iraq by September 2008 at the latest. The bill would provide $124 billion for military operations in Afghanistan and Iraq. The Senate is expected to begin debate on a spending bill with similar withdrawal language this week. It would face a veto threat by the president.
