Former Kane'ohe resident and Castle High alum Dean Wilson ranks No. 51 — up from No. 65 — and has earned $417,633 so far in the PGA Tour FedEx Cup standings, released today.

Hawaii's other PGA Tour player, Parker McLachlin, a former Honolulu resident and Punahou alum, is ranked No. 125 — down from No. 124 (he did not play last week) — and has earned $132,095.

The No. 1-ranked player is Vijay Singh. Charles Howell III is No. 2, followed by Phil Mickelson.

Singh has compiled 11,845 points and $2,748,463 so far on this year's PGA Tour schedule. Howell III has 11,584 and $2,427,478.

Tiger Woods, who won last week's CA Championship, rose from No. 7 to No. 3 with 10,044 and $2,467,058.

Wilson has 1,798 points and McLachlin 553.

PGA golfers earn points throughout the season in the FedEx Cup standings, which started this year.

The top 144 golfers in the FedEx Cup standings at the end of the regular season qualify for the playoffs, which will have a progressive cut through the first three events. The top 30 players in playoff points advance to The Tour Championship in Atlanta, Sept. 13 to 16.

The FedEx Cup will award $35 million in bonus money, including $10 to the FedEx Cup champion.
