A tree trimmer this morning caused a tree to fall on a power line, which resulted in about 880 Hawaiian Electric Co. Inc. customers in the Hale'iwa area losing service at about 10:45 a.m., HECO officials said.
Service was restored to most of the customers with one hour, HECO officials said.
The trimming incident also touched off a truck fire, which was quickly extinguished by firefighters.
