UH law school's environmental program recognized

The University of Hawai'i's William S. Richardson School of Law's Enviironmental Law Program will be awarded a Certificate of Recognition today by the state Legislature.The environmental program has gained national acclaim from the America Bar Association. It will be recognized today for its educational and scholarly components, as well as for training environmental lawyers to serve Hawai'i and protect its environment.
The presentation will be made at noon at the House chambers in the state Capitol.
Rep. Della Au Bellati, a 2000 graduate of the UH Law School, and Rep. Hermina Morita will present the certificate to CJ Richardson, Law School Dean Avi Soifer and Professor Casey Jarman.
