NAPILI
School receives $91,500 in gifts

Advertiser Staff

Maui Preparatory Academy received donations of $91,500 each from Maureen Atkinson of Prudential Maui Realtors and Dean Otto of Sakamoto Properties.

The two made their contributions as part of the Alliance to Improve Maui program started by a group of West Maui real estate agents to support selected nonprofits.

The members agreed to donate to the school a portion of their commissions from certain sales.

The donations will be used for programs and scholarships at the school, which was founded in 2005.

Maui Preparatory Academy now has 182 students in preschool through grade 12.
