Taste of Hongwanji takes place Sunday

The 2007 Taste of Hongwanji will take place Sunday at the Honpa Hongwangi Hawaii Betsuin on Pali Highway.

The event runs from 8 a.m. to noon.

It will feature various foods such as the popular Waffle Dogs, stew and rice, sushi, pickled vegetables, fried noodles, saimin and chili.

The bazaar will also showcase an array of gently used and new items, fresh produce, cut flowers and potted plants.

Entertainment will be provided by the temple's Dharma School Taiko Group and Manoa DNA.

Admission is free.
