Water-bottle company sponsors 2007 Kokua Festival

News Release

The Swiss water-bottle company SIGG will be a sponsor of this year's 4th Annual Kokua Festival in Honolulu. Jack Johnson started the green-leaning benefit concert to support local environmental education programs.

"SIGG is excited to be a part of the Festival, and to support the Kokua Hawaii Foundation," says Steve Wasik, President of SIGG USA. "We believe that educating children about environmental issues is one of the greatest tools we have to help create a sustainable future."

New to the Kokua Festival in 2007 is an initiative to encourage fans to carry reusable water bottles and fill up for free at water stations on the festival grounds. To help with this initiative, SIGG has donated special-edition Kokua Festival water bottles available for purchase inside the event's gates. All proceeds will be used to support the Kokua Hawaii Foundation.

"My family and I love our reusable SIGG bottles because they are healthier and cut down on the waste of disposable containers," says Jack Johnson.

The Kokua Festival will take place Earth Day weekend, on April 21 & 22, at Waikiki Shell.
