Navy today launches 'Child Abuse Prevention' month

Commander, Navy Region Hawaii's Fleet and Family Support Center will this morning hold a proclamation-signing ceremony tagging April as "Military Child and Child Abuse Prevention Month."The 10 a.m. ceremony will be held at Moanalua Navy Services Center.
This year marks the 22nd anniversary of the Presidential proclamation that established April as Child Abuse Prevention Month.
In the coming month, Hawai'i-based Navy officials will mark efforts to support families and children by working to ensure that parents in the military community have access to quality childcare services, good quality of life programs and parenting education resources.
