Big Island Film Festival screens Kailua resident's movie

John Kalani Zak, a Kailua-based filmmaker, recently won a Telly Award for his documentary "Pule Wailele" (waterfall prayer).

The documentary, which focuses on reconnecting with the 'aina, will be screening at the Big Island Film Festival in Waikoloa at 9:30 p.m. May 17.
