UH Manoa to screen 'Seoul Train' documentary exposé

The University of Hawai'i's Office of Multicultural Student Services will next week screen "Seoul Train," a documentary exposé of a secretive "underground railroad," through which North Koreans as they try to flee their homeland and China. The film also delves into the complex geopolitics behind this growing humanitarian crisis.The film, which will be screened at 2 p.m. in Hemenway Hall Theater on the UH's Manoa campus, will be followed by discussion with Jungmin Seo, an assistant professor of Political Science, who has conducted extensive research on political dynamics in both Korea and China.
