Sunny skies, scattered showers dot forecast

As the Midwest on the Mainland is being battered by snowstorms and tornadoes, we in Hawai'i will be enjoying partly sunny skies, scattered showers and temperatures ranging from 72 to 79 degrees today.

The rest of the National Weather Service forecast:

Tonight: Partly cloudy with scattered showers. Lows 59 to 66. North winds up to 10 mph. Chance of rain 40 percent.

Friday: Partly sunny with scattered showers. Highs 73 to 80. Light winds becoming east around 10 mph in the afternoon. Chance of rain 50 percent.

Friday night: Mostly clear. Lows 59 to 67. Light winds.

Saturday: Partly sunny with scattered showers. Highs 73 to 79. Light winds. Chance of rain 50 percent.

Saturday night: Partly cloudy with isolated showers. Lows 62 to 69. Light winds. Chance of rain 20 percent.
