The Board of Education will host a community meeting in the Windward district from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Kahuku Elementary School cafeteria, 56-170 Pualalea St.

The board schedules forums in different communities each month to give the public a chance to bring forward their concerns.

The Department of Education is hoping for input from residents about the schools' operating and capital improvements budgets for the 2008-09 school year.

The proposed budgets are now before the state Legislature for consideration.
