The retired associate dean of the William S. Richardson School of Law, along with judge Sabrina S. McKenna, will be celebrated today at the Hawai'i Women's Association 2006 annual awards reception.

Lee will receive the Distinguished Service Award, McKenna the Outstanding Judicial Achievement Award.

Lee was one of the first female professors at the UH law school and a core member of the Hawai'i Women Lawyers, according to a UH news release. She served as the school's associate dean from 1996 to 2006.

McKenna has been a state judge for the First Circuit Court and District Court the past 11 years. Prior, she served as an assistant professor of law at the Law School, as general counsel to a top 50 Hawai'i corporation, and as an attorney in the private sector.
