Woman injured in catamaran accident leaves hospital

WAILUKU, Maui — A 46-year-old Kaua'i woman injured in Sunday's fatal catamaran accident off Kahana was released from Maui Memorial Medical Center yesterday.The woman suffered head injuries and several fractures when the mast broke during a sail on the tour catamaran Kiele V. Killed in the accident was Hal Pulfer, 48, of Highland Park, Ill., who suffered a fatal blow to the head.
The Coast Guard is investigating the incident.
