Advertiser Staff

The Mauna Kea Golf Course will be closed for renovations for more than a year starting May 1, owner Prince Resorts Hawaii announced today.

The golf course, clubhouse, and 19th Hole Restaurant are expected to reopen in the fourth quarter of 2008.

Architect Rees Jones will design and manage the course improvements.

Mauna Kea, an 18-hole, par-72, 7,165-yard course, opened in December 1964.
