UH reports rise in new football ticket requests

Advertiser Staff

A total of 2,163 new season tickets from 601 individuals were requested in the first 10 days of a new deposit program for the upcoming University of Hawai'i football season, the UH athletic department has announced.

UH said it sold 1,489 new season tickets last season.

The promotion allows fans to place a $50 nonrefundable deposit per order for the tickets requested. After the season-ticket renewal period is completed in June, those requesting new tickets will be contacted in the order received.

The renewal period will continue until April 9, and deposits will be taken until June.

Renewals and deposits for new season tickets can be paid online at HawaiiAthletics.com and at the Stan Sheriff Center Box Office.

Season tickets range from $77 (students) to $145 (sidelines) and some tickets require a premium seat contribution.

Those who renewed and placed new-ticket deposits before March 28 are eligible for a drawing for a trip for two to Las Vegas and will receive two tickets to either a UH baseball game or volleyball match.
