Children of all ages are invited to the Easter Egg Hunt and Community Open House sponsored by the Hope for a New Beginning Emergency Shelter at the Onelauena building in Kalaeloa on Saturday beginning at 9 a.m.

There will be free goodie bags for all while supplies last, prizes, games, activities, inflatable jumpers and special surprises.

The event will be held in the field behind the shelter, located at Building 50 on Belleau Wood Street.

The shelter, which opened in October 2006, is operated by Wai'anae Community Outreach.
