SUNSET BEACH
Donations will buy supplies

Advertiser Staff

Recent donations to Sunset Beach Elementary School will help provide classroom accessories, computer upgrades and custodial equipment.

Schofield Barracks 25th Battalion-Army Partnership gave $5,000. Matsumoto Shave Ice and Kaena Unlimited, sponsor of the annual All Bus kickball game, each donated $1,000.

The school is using the money to purchase classroom televisions and VCRs, computers and software, and a vacuum and weed whacker, said Principal Ruth Holmberg.

"It's been a real bonus to us mainly in the form of equipment to support delivery of instruction in the classroom," she said.
