Look, look up in the sky: It's ... the new city bird

Mayor Mufi Hannemann will kick off Honolulu's observance of Earth Month with a news conference at 12:30 p.m. Monday, during which he will announce the designation of a city bird and discuss several other environmental programs, including:· His "21st Century Ahupua'a" campaign,
· A new recycling pilot project,
· Establishment of the mayor's Solid Waste Advisory Committee,
· The series of community meetings on recycling he has scheduled in April and May,
· Earth Month community cleanups.
