In its inaugural event last year at Sand Island Park, hosted by Spirit of Aloha Outreaches and Angel Tree Foundation, approximately 1,800 invited guests attended the all-day event filled with rides, games, activities, lunch, resource information, and a message of hope.

"Through this event, our goal is to reach out to these children and families and to provide them with support, comfort, and guidance," said Charlotte Skaaning, coordinator, Angel Tree. "Easter is a celebration of hope, and we want to share this message to each child and family member who attends. We also want to thank the community for responding to our community drive a few weeks ago about the need for donated new toys. We had a tremendous response from the community, and appreciate everyone's support and donations."
