O'ahu's excise-tax changes explained in cable TV show

A half-hour informational briefing on O'ahu's new excise tax surcharge will air twice next month on 'Olelo, Oceanic Cable channel 54.

The program was prepared by the state Department of Taxation and will provide basic information on the surcharge, such as who, and what transactions, are subject to it.

The show also will include information on common mistakes that businesses are making on their general excise tax forms.

The program will air 6:30 p.m. April 4 and 8:30 a.m. April 11.
