S-Series truck cruise, food drive in gear for today

Advertiser Staff

The public is invited to check out some gleaming machines and bring donations for the Hawaii Foodbank at today's Food Drive and Truck Cruise by Strictly S, the Hawai'i chapter of the S-Series truck club.

The trucks will cruise to and be displayed at the Kapolei Home Depot from 9 to 11 a.m.; Kahuku Sugar Mill at noon; Windward Mall from 1:30 to 3 p.m.; and Kaka'ako Waterfront Park from 4 to 5 p.m.

Donations of rice, canned meats and tuna, canned meals (such as spaghetti, chili or corned beef), and canned soups, fruit and vegetables are especially welcome.

This is the club's fifth fundraiser. At the final stop in Kaka'ako, activities include a hard-boiled-egg-eating contest, water-balloon toss and relay race and prizes.
