Kauai's Yates faces Maui's Victorino in MLB matchup

In a rare confrontation between Hawai'i players, Atlanta Braves relief pitcher Tyler Yates of Kaua'i faced Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Shane Victorino of Maui today in a major-league game in Atlanta.Yates, who attended Kaua'i High School, got Victorino, who attended St. Anthony, to ground out to short in the top of the seventh inning. The Braves were leading 4-3 at the time.
In the bottom of the sixth, Victorino, playing right field, threw out an Atlanta runner at home.
