Pearl City upsets Roosevelt in OIA baseball tournament

Thursday's quarterfinals

Pearl City 6, Roosevelt 1

Chad Quillopo had a double and drove in two runs to lead the Chargers past the Rough Riders at Stevenson Middle School.

Jordan Casarez also drove in two runs for Pearl City (9-3), the third seed out of the OIA West.

Justin Otaguro went 2-for-3 with a triple for Roosevelt (7-3-1), the second seed out of the OIA East.

Pearl City will face Kaiser in the semifinals tomorrow at Central O'ahu Regional Park.

Roosevelt will play at 'Aiea in a consolation game tomorrow.

Mililani 13, Kalani 1

The host Trojans scored eight runs in the bottom of the second inning en route to a victory over the Falcons.

Mililani (9-2), the second seed out of the OIA West, will face Kailua in the semifinals tomorrow at Central O'ahu Regional Park.

Kylen Cadiam had three hits and drove in two runs for Mililani.

Kalani, the OIA East's third seed, fell to 8-4 and will play Castle in a consolation game tomorrow at Kahala Field.

Kailua 7, Castle 3

The host Surfriders (10-1), the top seed out of the OIA East, defeated the Knights (7-4-1), the fifth seed out of the OIA East.

Kaiser 4, 'Aiea 3

The Cougars (9-3), the fourth seed out of the OIA East, scored the winning run in the top of the seventh inning to upset Na Ali'i (9-2), the top seed from the OIA West, at Central O'ahu Regional Park.
