Electrical power restored in Waipahu

By Rod Ohira

A power outage in Waipahu affected 1,100 Hawaiian Electric Co. customers today for about 2 1/2 hours.

Power was restored at 3:28 p.m., according to HECO spokesman Darren Pai.

The outage reported at 1:04 p.m. was caused by a tree affecting lines, Pai said. A tree-timming crew was dispatched after the problem tree was located.
