Hokule'a expected to reach Kumamoto, Japan, today

The voyaging canoe Hokule'a was expected to pull into port at Kumamoto, Japan, around midday today.Captain and navigator Chad Baybayan said there was little wind and the canoe was being towed through a dense fog as it approached the city.
The canoe and escort vessel Kama Hele were to tie up at Uto Harbor in Uto City, which is adjacent to the ancient city of Kumamoto.
