Boxing card fundraiser May 12 at Palolo District Park

A fundraising boxing card for the Hawai'i boxing team competing at the U.S. Championships is scheduled for May 12 at Palolo District Park.Bouts featuring boxers from O'ahu, Maui, Kaua'i and the Big Island will start at 6:30 p.m., according to Hawai'i team regional coordinator Bruce Kawano. Admission is $10.
The U.S. Championships are May 30 to June 9 in Colorado Springs, Colo. The top eight boxers of this tournament will compete in the Olympic Trials in August.
Kawano said a list of Hawai'i boxers would be released at a later date.
