TONIGHT'S MUST-SEE

"Grey's Anatomy," 8 p.m., ABC. In part, this is the pilot for a spinoff series that ABC could air next season. Addison travels to Los Angeles and meets her old medical-school colleagues, including ones played by Taye Diggs and Tim Daly. And in part, it's a standard "Grey's Anatomy" with relationship troubles. Meredith bonds with her stepmom (Mare Winningham), while Cristina hesitantly plans her wedding with her mom (Tsai Chin) and Burke's mom (Diahann Carroll). Also, Derek performs emergency surgery on Ava, formerly referred to as Jane Doe.

"CNN Presents: Larry King — 50 Years of Pop Culture," 3, 6 p.m., CNN. The network had scheduled a King week earlier, then scrapped it for Virginia Tech coverage. Now it tries again. King was 23 when he started at a small Miami radio station. Now, 50 years and two days later, Anderson Cooper and Ryan Seacrest host this special.

OF NOTE

"Crocodile Dundee" (1986), 4 p.m., Bravo. Here's a fresh chance to see this smart, fun movie. Paul Hogan plays a tough Aussie who meets a stylish New Yorker (Linda Kozlowski).

"Ugly Betty," 7 p.m., ABC. Betty faces a financial problem and Daniel admits he has a sexual-addiction problem.

"My Name is Earl," 7 p.m., NBC. You may have noticed that Earl has never really held a job. Tonight, he tries to get one as an appliance salesman. Also, Joy makes a rash decision as her trial nears.

"Work Out," 7 p.m., Bravo. This is the episode that debuted Tuesday, in which colleagues learned of the death of Doug Blasdell, one of the trainers. He died suddenly at 44, reportedly of kidney failure after being treated for a brain tumor. In this hour (preceded by another rerun at 6 p.m.), his friend and boss Jackie Warner tries to put her life in order. She visits her home in Fairborn, Ohio, tries to resolve issues with her mother and visits her father's grave for the first time.

"The Office," 7:36 p.m., NBC. After Phyllis sees a flasher, Michael takes the women on an outing; Dwight and Andy scheme to catch the culprit.

"CSI: Crime Scene Investigation," 8 p.m., CBS. Is this sufficient explanation for murder? Some people felt the victim was a shape-shifting alien.

"Scrubs," 8:19 p.m., NBC. Keri Russell, the former "Felicity" star, plays Elliot's old sorority sister, Melody. It seems that Keith has botched the proposal, so the women are going to plan a new one. J.D. is instantly attracted to Melody, who keeps turning him down.

"ER.," 8:53 p.m., NBC. The love triangle between Neela, Gates and Ray is spotlighted during a dinner that brings the staff together.

"Shark," 9 p.m., CBS. In the season's last new episode, Stark is grasping for a second chance at Wayne Callison (Billy Campbell), the suspected serial killer who was acquitted.
