Police charged a 23-year-old woman today in connection with a spate of thefts during Sunday or funeral services at Honolulu churches.

Kellyn Cabral is being held on $50,000 bail at the Honolulu police cellblock.

She was charged this afternoon with one count of second-degree burglary and one count of second-degree robbery, Honolulu Detective Steve Forman said.

The charges stem from an incident in March at St. Pius X Church in Manoa.

Meanwhile, police said they are investigating three other similar thefts, in addition to the eight cases reported in today's Advertiser. Two of the new cases are in Kane'ohe and one is in east Honolulu.
