Kealopiko T-shirts at Chinatown street gallery tonight

Advertiser Staff

The Maoli Arts Month kicks off tonight at First Friday. Amongst the gallery happenings will be a makeshift street venue: The Homeless Maoli Artists Gallery. A pimped-out flatbed truck will be parked at Nu'uanu and Pauahi streets from 5 to 9 p.m. Featured will be the work of Maoli artists who were unable to place their work in a gallery.

Along with the art will be Kealopiko shirts, sweet-potato laulau, mamaki tea and music by The Girlas and Kupaaina.
