Hawai'i golfer Kaneko makes cut in Japan tournament

Honolulu's Ayaka Kaneko shot a 6-over-par 78 Friday and made the cut in the Solonpas World Ladies Cup. The Japan LPGA event is being played at Tokyo Yomiuri Country Club.Kaneko, a 17-year-old Sacred Hearts junior, was at 4-over 148 and tied for 34th, seven strokes behind five golfers tied for the lead, including Karrie Webb. The cut was 150.
