Troubadours earn state basketball berth

Janelle Nance scored 15 points and Nicole Perry added 12 as the St. Francis girls basketball team defeated St. Andrew's Thursday at Hawai'i Baptist's gym to claim the second state tournament berth for the Interscholastic League of Honolulu Division II.The Troubadours (10-4) led 36-21 at halftime.
The Pride (9-5) will play La Pietra (9-4) today at 6 p.m. at 'Iolani with the winner earning the league's third state berth. Maile Tua had 13 points in the loss.
The loser will have to play in next week's ILH postseason tournament for the fourth and final berth.
Sacred Hearts (13-0) claimed the league's first berth by winning the regular season.
