Cause unknown to damaged hydrant in Nanakuli

A broken fire hydrant sent a towering spout of water into the air near Nanakuli just after midnight, but wasn't expected to interrupt water service for residents, an official at the Board of Water Supply said.A passer-by on Farrington Highway said the water spout was higher than the telephone poles and traffic on the highway had slowed because of it.
Cause of the damage hydrant has not been identified yet.
