Kapolei man indicted for child enticement

Advertiser Staff

A 54-year-old Kapolei man was indicted by a grand jury yesterday for Electronic Enticement of a Child in the first degree.

Daryl Godfrey Lee was arrested on Tuesday following an ongoing investigation spearheaded by the Hawaii Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

Godfrey allegedly asked a Honolulu Police detective who was posing online as a 14-year-old girl to meet him for sex at Kaka'ako Waterfront Park.

He was arrested shortly after he arrived at the meeting place.

Hawai'i Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force has created a Web site to help parents and youths recognize the dangers of Internet predators and to help them take protective measures (www.hicac.com).

Anyone with information about possible Internet crimes against children should call investigators at 586-1240.
