Kealoha, Leaupepe propel Govs

C'ani Kealoha and Elaine Leaupepe scored 11 points apiece to lead the host Farrington Governors to a 48-28 victory over the Nanakuli Golden Hawks in a first-round game of the O'ahu Interscholastic Association Red Conference tournament last night at Farrington.

The Governors (9-4), the East No. 3 seed, will play 'Aiea, the West No. 2, tonight at 5 at Roosevelt. The Golden Hawks (3-10) were eliminated.

Janelle Nance scored 15 points and Nicole Perry added 12 as the Troubadours (10-4) defeated the Pride (9-5) to claim the second of four Interscholastic League of Honolulu Division II berths in the state tournament. Champion Sacred Hearts earned the first berth.

St. Andrew's will play La Pietra tonight at 6 at 'Iolani with the winner earning the third state berth.
